4. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES AND PRODUCTS

4.1. THE TRADING ROBOT

4.1.1. What is a trading robot?

A trading robot is an automated software that uses advanced algorithms to execute financial transactions on behalf of users. It analyses market data in real time and makes buy or sell decisions based on predefined rules. By partially or entirely eliminating human intervention, the robot can operate 24/5, in line with trading market hours, monitoring and quickly reacting to market changes, thus ensuring greater efficiency and consistency in trading.

4.1.2. Trading Markets: Investech's trading robot is used for trading on the Forex (international currency market) and precious metals markets.

4.1.3. Compatible Trading Platform: The trading robot is compatible with the Metatrader 4 (MT4) platform, one of the most popular electronic trading platforms for trading financial assets. MT4 provides the necessary tools and resources to implement and manage trading algorithms efficiently.

4.1.4. Trading Algorithms: The trading robot relies on sophisticated trading algorithms designed around the fundamental economic concept of supply and demand. These algorithms are crucial for the automated operation of the robot and are designed to identify profitable trading opportunities in the market.

A. How do the trading algorithms work? (i) Buying at Low Prices and Selling at High Prices: The algorithms are designed to buy when the price of an asset is considered low and sell when the price is considered high. This is based on identifying moments when the price of an asset has reached key market levels where it has been in the past.

(ii) Identifying Key Moments: The algorithm analyses historical prices to find price points where significant movements have occurred in the past. These points are known as support and resistance zones.

  • Support Zones: Price levels where demand is strong enough to prevent the price from falling further. When the price reaches these levels, it is likely to rise, prompting the robot to initiate a buy transaction.

  • Resistance Zones: Price levels where supply is strong enough to prevent the price from rising further. When the price reaches these levels, it is likely to fall, prompting the robot to initiate a sell transaction.

(iii) Market Cyclicality: Financial markets are known for their cyclical behavior, where prices tend to move in repetitive patterns over time. The algorithm takes advantage of these cycles by identifying periods when an asset's price tends to return to certain price levels.

(iv) Technical Analysis: The algorithm uses technical indicators and analysis tools to detect these support and resistance zones.

(v) Executing Transactions: Once a support or resistance zone is identified and criteria are met, the robot executes the transaction automatically. For example, if the price drops to a support zone, the robot will initiate a buy transaction. If the price rises to a resistance zone, the robot will initiate a sell transaction.

B. Market Volatility Risk: Financial markets can be extremely volatile, and asset prices can fluctuate sharply and significantly in response to various economic, political, or social events. Trading algorithms may struggle to adapt quickly to these sudden changes, potentially leading to unexpected losses. For instance, an algorithm that performs well in stable market conditions may perform poorly during periods of extreme volatility.

4.1.5. Automated Operation: The trading robot operates automatically, executing transactions once the specified criteria in the algorithm are met. This means users do not need to constantly monitor the market or intervene in the trading process, thus reducing the time and effort required to manage investments.

4.1.6. Stop Loss and Take Profit: Users can set stop loss (loss limit) and take profit (profit target) levels to control the risk and profitability of each transaction. The robot's base strategy remains constant, as set by Investech to protect users and prevent losses, but users have the flexibility to adjust these settings to suit their individual trading goals.

4.1.7. Compatible Operating Systems: The trading robot is compatible with the Metatrader 4 platform and runs on Windows and Mac OS operating systems. This ensures accessibility and ease of use for a wide range of users.

4.1.8. Updates: The robot's files are manually updated every two weeks on the MetaTrader 4 platform to ensure that the algorithms remain efficient and relevant in current market conditions and to address any security vulnerabilities.

4.1.9. Installation and Configuration of the Robot: The installation of the robot is done by installing the MetaTrader 4 platform on a VPS (virtual private server) owned by the platform administrator. Clients do not have direct access to the VPS. After installation, the robot file is manually added to each relevant financial instrument and configured with three predefined risk settings (low, medium, and high). These settings are discussed and agreed upon with the client before use, ensuring that each client understands how the robot works and what to expect.

4.1.10. Availability of the Robot: The robot is available for use 24/5, as long as the financial markets are open. This allows users to trade during active market hours.

4.1.11. Maintenance Periods: Every two weeks, on Wednesdays, the robot and its files are updated. There is no specific time for these updates, but users are notified in advance. Users are notified before updates or maintenance periods. These notifications are provided either in writing or verbally. If users choose not to perform the robot updates, this may lead to financial losses, as the market constantly updates, and the robot needs to be synchronised with these market changes.

4.1.12. Access from Multiple Devices: Users can view transactions made by the robot and modify certain transaction parameters (stop loss or take profit) from any device. Users need to contact us for more complex changes, such as changing the robot's risk level or stopping it.

4.2. THE TRADING COURSES

4.2.1. The trading courses offered by Investech are educational sessions designed to instruct users in trading techniques and strategies. These courses are intended for both beginner and advanced traders and cover a wide range of topics, from fundamental concepts to advanced trading strategies.

4.2.2. The courses are structured into modules that include both theory and practice to provide a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and trading techniques.

4.2.3. The courses are taught by trading experts and organised on the Zoom platform. They are individual for each user.

4.2.4. The trading courses are available to all users of the Investech platform. To enrol, users must complete a registration form and pay the course fee. Once enrolled, users will be scheduled for the course as soon as possible.

4.2.5. The cost of the trading courses varies depending on their level and complexity. Payments can be made online via credit card or other electronic payment methods accepted by the platform.

4.2.6. The courses cannot be cancelled or refunded, and they are exempt from the right of withdrawal in accordance with section 11.

4.3. LIMITATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

4.3.1. Technical Limitations. The trading robot is available only on specified platforms and operating systems (Windows and Mac OS for MetaTrader 4). Users who use other platforms or operating systems will not be able to access the trading robot.

4.3.2. Market Limitations. The trading robot cannot function effectively in the absence of trading volume. If the market is inactive and the financial instrument's price does not move, the robot cannot execute profitable transactions. Additionally, the robot's performance may be negatively affected in extremely volatile market conditions.

4.3.3. Customization Restrictions. Users can only customise certain transaction parameters (such as stop loss and take profit) and not the actual trading algorithms. This limits the users' flexibility to adjust the trading strategy to their specific needs. For more complex changes, users must contact the Investech support team.

4.3.4. Limited Access to VPS. To protect the integrity and security of the robot, users do not have direct access to the VPS server where the robot is installed. Any major changes to the robot's settings must be made by contacting the platform administrator.

4.3.5. Availability. The trading robot is available for use only during the financial markets' opening hours, i.e., 24/5. Outside these hours, the robot cannot execute transactions. Additionally, the robot may be unavailable during scheduled maintenance periods.

4.3.6. Maintenance Periods. Every two weeks, on Wednesdays, the robot and its files are updated. There is no specific time for these updates, but users are notified in advance. If users choose not to perform the robot updates, this may lead to financial losses, as the market constantly updates, and the robot needs to be synchronised with these market changes.

4.3.7. Financial Loss Risks. Using the trading robot involves the risk of losing money, depending on the risk level set in the robot. Although the algorithms are designed to maximise profit, the financial market can be unpredictable and volatile. Investech cannot be held responsible for the financial losses incurred by users.
